Summary of Role
The person hired for the position of Manager, Software Quality Assurance will be responsible for leading the Software Quality Assurance team and implementing and maintaining the Engineering tools and processes.
Deliverables
- Leads the Software Quality Assurance team
- Works closely with Software development team to define testing methodology
- Facilitates the planning and execution of Software development plans
- Develops strategies to improve software quality operations
- Coordinates department resources and work assignments
- Develops the software quality team
- Implements appropriate test automation processes and tools
- Leads the development & maintenance of engineering tools as it relates to system and Software.
- Leads implementation of software development and validation tools
- Develops work instructions and rolls out training to cross functional teams
- Manages tool releases and qualification
- Schedules, plans and leads project & process audits related to Software Development
- Works closely with Quality team to implement processes within the QMS framework
- Collaborates with a cross-functional development team (technical leads, program management, software development, research and development) to facilitate completion of assignments
- Manages program deliverables regarding Software quality
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited university
- Minimum of five (5) years combined experience in Quality Management and/or Process Improvement
- Minimum of five (5) years combined experience leading and executing software quality assurance
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Technology or related discipline from an accredited institution preferred
- Experience with SW development tools such as Atlassian tools such as Jira, Confluence and BitBucket preferred
- Experience with Software Development standards, e.g. IEC 62304 preferred
- Experience with embedded, mobile, and back-end applications preferred
