Summary of Role

Element Science is building a world class medical device hardware design team. We are looking for electrical engineers with a passion for creating devices that save lives. The Principal Analog Design Engineer filling this role will own board level requirements and design involving sensors, bio-signal amplification and acquisition, microprocessors, and high voltage electronics. You will be part of a tight-knit team on the cutting edge of wearable medical electronics and be the electrical engineering expert for cross-functional team members.   • Trade-off approaches, specify, and design board level circuits for a class III medical
  • Design analysis, schematic capture, PCB layout
  • Component qualification; analyze performance, cost, reliability and availability trade-offs of critical components
  • Write and dry run protocols for subsystem and system design verification


  • MSEE or BSEE with at least 10yrs of analog electronics design experience
  • Hardware lead for product cycle(s) concept through production including manufacturing follow up
  • Power electronics design experience
  • Experience with Altium, PADs, or other PCB design packages, PCB design and layout standards
  • Familiarity with component & PCB design practice for up to 2000V
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity with low power circuit design techniques
  • Familiarity with electrical safety standards and HV isolation
  • Experience with circuit and system simulation techniques desired
